Eleven years of changing young lives. Eleven years of building partnerships. One shared commitment to creating brighter futures through sport and education.
On 27 October 2026, Futurestars Charity brought together its partners, supporters and stakeholders for a special evening celebrating its 11th anniversary. Under the theme Partners’ Night: Connecting People. Celebrating Impact. Creating Change., the occasion recognised the people and organisations whose continued commitment has helped shape the charity’s journey and transform opportunities for children and their communities.
More than an anniversary celebration, the evening was a reflection of what can be achieved when people come together around a shared purpose.
Celebrating partnerships that make a difference
A highlight of the evening was recognising the contributions of partners who continue to support the charity’s work across education, health, sport and community development.
During Partners’ Night, Futurestars Charity presented football kits generously donated by Ipswich Town Football Club to our partner, Yinson Production West Africa, for onward donation to schools it supports in the Western Region.
This extends the impact of Ipswich Town’s donation beyond Futurestars Charity’s six partner schools in Ghana, giving more children in Yinson’s operational communities access to football kits and opportunities to participate in sport.
The evening also marked an exciting new chapter with Pegasus Publishing Limited, Futurestars Charity’s newest educational partner. As part of the celebration, Pegasus presented donated educational books to representatives from the charity’s partner schools. Valued at GH₵98,200, the donation includes books covering seven core subjects for JHS 1–3, alongside eight additional storybooks to encourage reading and strengthen learning opportunities.
These contributions demonstrate how partnerships can extend beyond support to create meaningful opportunities that reach children directly.
A year of progress, stories and milestones
The anniversary also provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress made over the past year, as captured in the charity’s Year 11 Impact presentation.
Across its partner schools, Futurestars Charity continued to strengthen educational support through academic assistance, reading activities, teacher development and improvements to school environments.
One particularly special milestone was the journey of the charity’s first scholarship recipient to complete all three years of Senior High School. Having received support since Class 5, Janet has progressed to the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). Her journey is a powerful reminder of what consistent support and investment in a child’s education can make possible.
There were also important developments in children’s health and wellbeing. Through partnerships with organisations including M&M Health, Pepsodent and Trust Alliance Group, children benefited from eye screenings, oral health education and access to dedicated health support.
Sport continued to open doors for young people, providing opportunities to develop skills, build confidence and discover new possibilities. From rugby league and football to golf initiatives such as the Rida Cup Kids Putting event, children across partner schools experienced the value of participation beyond the classroom.
The year also saw the charity welcome Community 11 Complex Primary School into its growing partner-school community, extending its commitment to supporting more children through sport and education.
Looking ahead, together
Behind every opportunity created and every milestone achieved is a network of partners, volunteers, schools, supporters and communities who believe in the work of Futurestars Charity.
From volunteers in the UK helping prepare sporting equipment for Ghana to corporate partners supporting school improvements, health initiatives, educational resources and sporting opportunities, every contribution plays a part in the bigger picture.
As Futurestars Charity celebrates 11 years, the message of Partners’ Night remains at the heart of its mission: lasting change happens when we connect people, share purpose and work together.
To all our partners, supporters, volunteers, schools and communities, thank you for being part of our journey and for continuing to believe in the potential of every child.
Eleven years down. The journey continues. Together, we’re changing young lives through sport and education.
