Akwaaba Volunteers – Project Uniform

Following the generous donation from the British High Commission Football Team,  we were delighted to have made a donation to Akwaaba Volunteers Charity to support them in providing uniforms for every child in the Future Leaders Underprivileged Children’s Centre in Labadi, Accra. We have visited the Centre to see the amazing work they are doing with the school and we have also provided Sports Kit & Equipment for their sports teams. The money donated will help to purchase the material needed for the the uniforms and local seamstresses will be employed to make them for the children. The long term goal is to have every child in the same uniform so they feel a sense of belonging when they represent the school on daily basis.

We have supported Akwaaba at their own Street Soccer tournament and they have joined our schools in Tema for the Futurestars Festival of Sport, we will continue to work with Akwaaba Volunteers and their students will also volunteer for our projects in the future.

They have recently taken on the construction of a new school building and their drive and determination to provide a better life for the children in their care inspires us to do more with them every year. Jordan and King from Akwaaba Volunteers have the same goals as the Futurestars Charity and together we will make a big difference to the children within our projects.
