A fantastic new partnership with the Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) has meant that all our partner schools have benefited from regular rugby training from professional coaches in addition to the other sports that Futurestars provides. Despite only starting training last year, the students showcased incredible determination and skill at their first-ever rugby tournament earlier this month. The tournament was organised by the RLFG and Salford Red Devils with sponsorship from our friends at VertomCory.
The RLFG have now committed to support student rugby league players who may not be receiving a consistent education. Talented youngster John Emmanuel Boye is the first sign up and is now part of our scholarship programme at the Future Leaders School in Accra. The future is bright for John and we hope many others in the future, so a heartfelt thank you to our friends at the Rugby League Federation of Ghana!
