Futurestars Charity is continuing its investment in teacher development at Future Leaders School through its partnership with OneSeed.
The latest teacher development workshop provided teachers with a refresher session designed to build on learning from previous workshops and support them as they began a new school term.
The programme takes a continuous approach to professional development rather than treating teacher training as a one-off activity. Teachers are given opportunities to reflect on what they have learned, strengthen their classroom practices and apply new approaches in their everyday teaching.
The latest workshop also provided an opportunity to recognise progress. Three teachers were recognised by the OneSeed team for demonstrating outstanding classroom practices following the first two workshops.
The recognition highlighted an important part of the programme: the impact of teacher development should ultimately be seen beyond the training room and within the classroom itself.
