Futurestars were delighted to be a part of Career Guidance and Advice workshops, the theme of which was ‘Pathway to Success’ held at two of the Futurestars schools in Tema, Ghana.
Organised by Irene Mensa-Bonsu of charity Future of Ghana, the workshops took place on 30th December and 6th January 2020 at Community 8 and Baatsona schools. The aim of the workshops was to engage the children in thinking about possible career choices, what options there are if things don’t go the way you plan them, and entrepreurship. The workshops included some excellent speakers including William Adoasi, founder of Vitae London, and Izzy Obeng of Foundervine.
Emmanuel Okyne-Tetteh, Futurestars Project manager, along with coaches Silas Donkoh and B.Asare Wilson ran a sports session on each day, focusing on team building and teamwork – these sports sessions were supported by the Futurestars Lead Coach & Ambassador Titus Bramble. The feedback from the children on both days was over-whelmingly positive.
