Futurestars were delighted to welcome some fantastic Futurestars supporters along to the Festival of Sport and Art, and for some to Ghana for the first time. Vickie Richardson as been tirelessly organising donations for Futurestars that travel out to Ghana as part of an airline Mules programme. Emmanuel Okyne-Tetteh, Futurestars project manager in Ghana commented: “Thank you Vickie for the books, kits, equipment, sweets and most importantly for your love, support and for coming to spend time with the children – It was a pleasure having you in our schools and for the festival”
Also visiting were Steve Tebbutt, Guy Bonwick & Scott McEwan who all work in the City of London in the Lloyds Insurance Market. They are also part of the Lloyds Football Club who have chosen Futurestars as their chosen charity in 2018 and are looking to tour Ghana with their football team for a week in 2020/21.
