School Libraries update

“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” – Margaret Fuller.

The libraries are taking shape!  Shelving has been built in two out of our six schools, with tables and benches still to arrive.

With books donated from Copleston High School, the girls & boys in Twedease and Community 8 Schools were excited to start to fill up the new shelves with text books and reading books, giving them access to a wide range of reading materials.

Simon is collecting more book donations currently in the UK which will be out in the next container delivery.  But in the meantime with help from our wonderful donors we will continue with our objective to create full and buzzing libraries in all our schools.

In the photos below you can also see that some of the books were also given out to children at Republic Road school at the end of last term as a reward for hard work and coming first in phonics tests and quizzes.  Well done!
