Futurestars & the NSA

On June 10, 2025, the Futurestars team met with the new Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, in what we hope will be the start of a promising partnership focusing on using sport as a tool for transformation and opportunity.

As part of the visit, we donated branded sports kits to the staff and management of the NSA to show our appreciation and explore future collaboration.

Country Manager Emmanuel Okyne-Tetteh congratulated Mr. Ampofo Ankrah on his recent appointment and shared that Futurestars is dedicated to empowering young people in underserved communities through education, life skills, and sports development. He also emphasised our readiness to partner with the NSA to strengthen grassroots sports and broaden access to quality facilities and opportunities across Ghana.

The Director General commended Futurestars Charity for our impactful work over the past 10 years in Ghana, and expressed interest in working together to expand youth sports development nationwide.

As well as our Country Manager Futurestars was represented by our coaches Silas Donkar, Joseph Adasi, and Rockson Caleb along with Tracy Randolph (Girls & Volunteer Coordinator) and HIlaria Wuaku (Social Media manager)

From the NSA we met Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, Nana Poku Amankwah, Abukari Mohammed, Yaw Gyamfi, Kusi Awere, Charles Obeng Amofah, and Sharon Odoi.
