We’re delighted to announce that from May there is now a Futurestars Tema League for U12s running for the summer school term from May until July.
Our coaches Wilson and Silas regularly arrange friendly matches between the young academy players and other local teams, but up until now there hasn’t been a league to join to allow the children to play regular competitive matches. Wilson and Silas have set up the league with eight other local teams and it’s now registered with the Ghanaian sports Authority.
We are indebted to two companies IP12 Lettings & Property Management and MBE Construction who have generously donated the funding to purchase eight sets of 10 bibs and 60 match and training balls for the teams. – so everyone is set!
The Futurestars league is part of our strategy to work in and around our local community. Many of the coaches of the other eight teams attended our Coaches workshop last year and we’re delighted to be giving many other children the opportunity to play competitively every week during the summer season.
