Extra maths!

Many of our students are due to take their BECE (Basic Education Certificate Examination) this summer. It is a critical examination conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for students in their final year of Junior High School (JHS 3) and acts as a bridge between Junior HIgh and Senior  High School or Technical Vocational Education and Training.

Teachers at the Future Leaders School in Accra flagged to us that some candicates need a bit of extra help to build confidence in certain areas.  Emmanuel Okyne Tetteh, our country manager is now holding focused mathematics sessions designed to close learning gaps and strengthen understanding ahead of exams.

These sessions complement the classrom teaching and are adapted to meet the student needs. We continue this work to ensure no student is left behind at this critical stage.
