From Friday to Sunday 16th – 18th August, myself and Futurestars Ambassador Titus Bramble joined British High Commissioner Iain Walker and his colleague Joel Downham for part of their epic #TheGhanaGrand tour from the north of Ghana to Accra in the south to raise funds for the fantastic Plastic Surgery & Burns Unit (PBSU) at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
We joined them at Hohoe in central Ghana along with Project Manager Emmanuel who acted as our back up. From Hohoe we cycled the 300 km over three days through Ho and Akosombo and arrived at the finish line at Black Star Square in Accra.
Hats off to Iain and Joel who cycled over 1000 km in total over the seven days, this was not an easy ride, but so worth it as they have raised an astonishing £30,000 for the Burns unit (including offline donations), if you’d like to contribute please follow the link here: #TheGhanaGrand
