After last year’s successful school block transformation in Tema – this year we are building a purpose-built toilet block for the Future Leaders School in Accra. Current facilities are not fit for purpose and we have employed some great local contractors in Ghana to construct the block which will include 12 new toilets. In September they’ll be joined by a team of volunteers from the UK, Ghana and our corporate donors, to decorate, clean and provide all the finishing touches as well as painting the original wooden school building.
The teachers and pupils can’t wait to see what’s unveiled in September and as well as providing essential facilities, the blocks will help the staff promote better hygiene practices for all the children.
