… and would-be cyclists of all abilities – Futurestars Charity have teamed up with Ipswich Town Community Trust to deliver a Tour of Suffolk Cycle Ride on 12th & 13th June which will raise funds for both charities.

ITCT has a long experience in organising successful cycle rides in Europe and the UK between 2014 to 2017, headed up by our own Simon Milton (Futurestars director). Joining forces, we’ve decided it is time to get back on the bike, take up a challenge and raise much-needed funds for the two charities.
The team will be led by Simon Milton (Futurestars director and former IT player) and Matt Holland (Ipswich Town trustee and former IT player).
Terry Butcher (former England Captain and Futurestars Patron) and Russell Osman (former Ipswich Town player) have both pledged their support and we understand training has begun!
The cycle ride will take place on Sunday 12th June and Monday 13th June 2022 and encompass 150 miles of beautiful Suffolk countryside and coastal routes.
It will start and finish at Portman Road, Ipswich and every cyclist will receive a Tour of Suffolk cycling shirt, a pre-departure breakfast on 12th June, dinner, bed, and breakfast at Potters Resort at Hopton-on-Sea on the Sunday night, and a BBQ at Portman Road on Monday evening.
Registration is £99.00 per person and the fundraising target, which is to be divided equally between the two charities after all expenses are paid, is £900.00.
Simon Milton commented: “By working together to organise this event we think we have the best chance to raise fantastic amounts for both charities. The pandemic has put paid to our usual UK fundraising events and we are really excited to be out on the road for this one. Our Ghana team is flying over to help and we expect a great atmosphere, lots of fun, and lots of fundraising.
