Basic 8 and 9 pupils from our partner school, Future Leaders School, joined young people around the world in marking Online Responsibility Day through a practical learning session focused on staying safe and responsible online.
Online Responsibility Day provides an opportunity to reflect on how we use technology and the importance of making safe, respectful and informed choices in digital spaces.
Learning Through Participation
Rather than simply talking about online responsibility, the pupils were encouraged to get involved.
The session included educational videos, group discussions and workbook activities, giving the pupils an opportunity to explore different aspects of responsible online behaviour.
They discussed topics including protecting personal information, making safe choices online, thinking before sharing or responding, and understanding how their actions online can affect others.
The activities also created space for questions and conversation, allowing the pupils to share their thoughts and connect the lessons to their own experiences of using technology.
Preparing Young People for a Digital World
For Futurestars Charity, opportunities like this are an important part of supporting young people’s education beyond the traditional classroom.
As technology continues to play a bigger role in everyday life, helping children develop the knowledge and confidence to navigate the digital world responsibly is an important part of preparing them for the future.
Through our partnership with Future Leaders School, we continue to create opportunities that support children not only academically, but also with practical skills for life.
