For children to learn, participate and thrive, access to education must be supported by attention to their health and wellbeing.
Futurestars Charity has strengthened this area of its work by welcoming Pamela Abena Addae Anim, a nurse at Teshie Community Health Clinic, as the charity’s health practitioner.
The support has been made possible through the dedication and contribution of volunteers from Trust Alliance Group.
In her role, Pamela will support the health and wellbeing of children across Futurestars Charity’s partner schools. Her responsibilities include providing health education sessions for students and teachers and offering guidance on important health issues affecting young people.
Having dedicated health expertise connected to the charity’s work provides an additional layer of support for schools and the children they serve. It also creates opportunities for health concerns to be addressed through early guidance and education, helping students and teachers better understand issues that can affect young people’s wellbeing.
The initiative reflects Futurestars Charity’s broader approach to supporting children beyond the classroom. While education remains central to the charity’s work, creating brighter futures also means helping young people access the support they need to remain healthy, confident and able to participate fully in school and community life.
