Celebrating Women’s Rugby League in Ghana

Sport can provide young women with more than an opportunity to compete. It can create space for confidence, teamwork, leadership and personal development.

In 2026, Futurestars Charity marked Mother’s Day by investing in young women pursuing their dreams through sport.

Through its partnership with the Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG), Futurestars Charity donated training kits to female rugby league players in Ghana, providing practical support to athletes developing their skills and participating in the sport.

For young women entering and progressing through sport, access to the right equipment can contribute to a stronger sense of preparation, representation and belonging.

The initiative also reflects a wider commitment to creating opportunities for young people through sport and education. By supporting female athletes, Futurestars Charity is helping create an environment where young women can participate, develop their abilities and see themselves represented within sport.

The contribution may have been simple, but its message is significant: young women’s ambitions matter, their participation matters and their dreams matter.

Futurestars Charity remains committed to using sport as a platform to help young people build confidence, develop skills and access opportunities that can shape their futures.
