Futurestars works with six partner schools in Ghana, five in Tema and one in Accra. The children who attend our five schools in Tema (Baatsona, Twedaase, Republic Road, Community 7 and Community 8) come from some of the poorest communities and previously had no access to PE or sports at school. They were selected with the help of the Ghana Education Service. The Future Leaders School in Accra provides education for many children who would otherwise not be in school.
Funded by our corporate donors we provide Sports and PE coaching at all our schools and pre and after-school clubs.
As funding allows we undertake regular refurbishment projects (from libraries to toilet blocks, decorating and general maintenance)
At the Future Leaders school, we provide direct funding to ensure its long-term sustainability. We also have a scholarship programme, funded by individual donors, for those children most in need.
We also offer amazing volunteer experiences in Ghana!
