The Fendercare container was delivered to the Tema Sports Stadium earlier this month.packed absolutely full of more than 25,000 books, as well as paper, games, crafts, nearly 7000 items of sports kit, shirts, shorts, socks, boots and trainers.
The next stage will be to distribute everything and to start furnishing libraries in the five schools in Tema, the Future Leaders School in Labadi and a library in the Tema Stadium with shelves, benches, tables and books. We hope to have all these completed by the end of March.
With so much thanks again to Fendercare Marine for the container and Copleston School, St Matthew’s Church of England Primary School, Imagine That, Woodbridge and Framlingham College. Plus Denholm Handling Ltd who assisted with the shipping and storage of the container in Suffolk, and OMA Ghana for their assistance to clear and transport the container to the site in Tema.
