Another fantastic Kit sorting day in sunny Suffolk with 16 volunteers from Copleston School, Fendercare, OMA Group, Culford School, Alterra Farms, Suffolk University, Futurestars Charity and Trustees, Framlingham College.
At the final count, the Fendercare container is now full and ready to ship in September with an amazing:
- 19,306 children’s educational school books
- 18,605 sheets of paper
- 411 children’s games and craft sets
- 6824 items of sports kit – shirts, shorts, tops, bottoms, socks
- 206 pairs of boots/trainers
Imagine That from Woodbridge, Suffolk has also donated a large collection of children’s board and craft games and St Matthew’s Church of England Primary School in Ipswich also donated a great quantity of books – all of which will be put to very good use in the 5 schools in Tema as well as Future Leader School in Labadi, Accra and Cacavelli School in Lome, Togo.
With so much thanks to Copleston School and everyone who has donated, we are now in a position to help set up libraries in each of our partner schools. We hope that this will be an ongoing project so the libraries can grow and develop over the next few years. We will also have a small library in our container-office at the development centre in Tema that the children will be able to use after school.
