The Futurestars team took to the road again this week to collect more donated kit and equipment for the Project in Ghana & Togo. Jaime Smith from SEA Transport provided the vehicle and Titus Bramble, Halle Milton (7) and SImon Milton collected from Copleston School, Sportsmedeast, Hudson Group and Sportsafe before heading to Coastal Global at Felixstowe where the container is stored before shipping.
Judy Middle from the Hudson Group provided us with much needed kit for the schoolchildren and teachers. The group will also provide the Futurestars & Partners signage for the container when it is in situ in the Tema Stadium in Ghana.
Sportsafe have donated some amazing kit and equipment including Match kits, Tennis Rackets, Space Hoppers and 300 rubber yoga style mats for the children to use at assemblies and PE lessons and STR Skill School provided small goals, coaching aids, clothes, boots and shoes.
Following the Kit Amnesty started earlier this summer, we have had some truly tremendous support from companies in the UK who have supported us financially, or by donating kit or services to support us. The 40ft container is nearly full and will be Ghana bound next month! Once it arrives in Tema, the Futurestars Partner employees have volunteered to help unload, sort and itemise the kit for the coaches, it will then be distributed to the schools and children in most need.
And the container will be put to good use too! Branded Futurestars and Partners courtesy of Hudson Signs, the coaches will use it for much needed storage on site.
Coastal Global are storing the container until we have the full kit collected and then along with Maze Logistics, EUF Ltd and Seven Telematics they will ship it to Tema in September where it will become the storage container for the project.
